Location: Rosslyn, VA (Moving to Washington, DC in February) - Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Salary Range: $128,000 - $137,000 annually (Compensation is based on relevant experience and qualifications)
Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is seeking a Sr. Logistics Analyst to serve as a Washington Item Manager (WIM) supporting the FAA's Navigation Programs group (including the GBN, VGLS, and WAAS programs). This position starts immediately in Rosslyn, VA, and will transition to a Washington, DC location in February.As a WIM, you are a critical link in the FAA Navigation Program's Facilities and Equipment acquisition, shipping, and implementation process. You will hold senior-level responsibility for managing and controlling specific categories of nationally furnished project materiel, collaborating closely with the FAA Logistics Center, CAVES, and vendors to ensure equipment arrives at required locations on time. The ideal candidate performs most tasks independently, handles complex lifecycle assignments, and brings deep expertise in National Stock Numbers (NSNs).
Primary job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Washington Item Manager (WIM) Operations: Serve as the central hub for the Navigation Program's equipment lifecycle. Process shipping requests to move critical assets from stored locations to implementation locations by the required dates.
- Materiel & Asset Control: Manage and control specific categories of nationally furnished project materiel. Review and approve regional requests for asset recommitment or reassignment to meet shifting regional priorities.
- System Management & Integrity: Work heavily within the Logistics Center Support System (LCSS) to monitor inventory, ensure seamless communication of equipment on hand, and proactively flag potential shortfalls. Ensure the Project Materiel Management System reflects real-time asset availability.
- Program Planning & Review: Drive program planning, regularly review program status, and perform detailed analysis of logistics and program-related data for the GBN, VGLS, and WAAS programs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate program operations seamlessly across FAA Headquarters, Regional offices, CAVES, vendors, FAA SMO, and facility personnel.
- Reporting & Briefings: Prepare detailed reports, logistics summaries, and professional materials for program briefings and executive presentations.
- Leadership & Guidance: Perform complex and complicated task assignments independently. May also provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced Program Analysts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Project Management and Materiel Management. Must demonstrate a deep understanding of the entire logistics lifecycle process.
- Technical Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience with National Stock Numbers (NSNs) is highly valued. Must have comprehensive knowledge of the FAA's Acquisition Management System (AMS), LCSS, and the Corporate Work Plan (CWP).
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Access, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred Background: Prior FAA or military experience specifically dealing with the management of Systems and Equipment.
- Work Schedule: Ability to work a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days onsite (initially in Rosslyn, VA, transitioning to Washington, DC in February) and 2 days remote.
