Capital One is seeking a financial services regulatory attorney to join the Bank Regulation and Policy Group of the Legal Department. In this role, you will analyze prudential laws and regulations applicable to bank holding companies and national banks, advise the company regarding the impact of proposed and new regulations, interact with regulators, and work with business counsel and associates across multiple functional areas throughout the company. This candidate should demonstrate substantive expertise in non-consumer federal financial regulation or a proven capacity to develop such expertise, have the ability to work in teams or independently, have excellent communication skills, and will report to the Director, Assistant General Counsel responsible for corporate regulatory matters.
We are looking for an attorney who is collaborative, inquisitive, enthusiastic about prudential bank regulation, and exhibits grounded judgment in novel situations. You’ll need strong analytical and organizational skills, great judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment involving complex legal issues. We want someone with an ownership mentality but who enjoys being part of a team and can interact with and influence across departments and job levels.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900 for Sr. Manager, Sr. Counsel
Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300 for Sr. Manager, Sr. Counsel
