This role will lead manufacturing process development and improvement initiatives, optimize production workflows, and ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing while maintaining product quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, experience in aerospace manufacturing, and proficiency in SolidWorks and Enovia SmarTeam.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing methods, processes, and production work cells.
- Create, maintain, and improve manufacturing process documentation.
- Analyze workforce utilization, facility layouts, equipment requirements, and production workflows to maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, planning, and design teams to ensure product designs and tooling support efficient manufacturing.
- Work with vendors to evaluate equipment, materials, and components against technical specifications and quality standards.
- Develop production time estimates, staffing requirements, and cost projections to support operational planning.
- Partner with manufacturing leadership and engineering teams to address production capabilities, schedules, and process challenges.
- Apply statistical methods and engineering principles to forecast manufacturing requirements and improve production performance.
- Provide technical leadership on assigned projects and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 58 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SolidWorks and Enovia SmarTeam is required.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, workflow optimization, and process documentation.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience improving manufacturing processes and production work cells.
- Ability to lead engineering projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong technical judgment and creative problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and manufacturing cost optimization.
- Salary: $125,000 DOE
