Sr. Mechanical Engineer

BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Sr. Mechanical Engineering role with our client in Canonsburg, PA. This role is a direct hire with a hybrid work schedule.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides leadership in the design, development, and validation of new products. Works under minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.

Main Job Duties:

• Create innovative, customizable power distribution and monitoring solutions that provides value to.our partners across all markets
• Use a systematic, analytically-based approach to conceptualizing, designing, and testing.
• Collaborate with the engineering team tasked with the commercialization and launch of designed products.
• Perform advanced mechanical engineering design tasks and provide feedback in support of customer specific customizations of company products.
• Assist in directing the testing required, verifying product performance, system integration, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to assure product manufacturability.
• Create mentoring relationships with other Engineers
• Review the work of others, including Drafters and Engineers.
• Collaboration with certification laboratories such as UL and Intertek as well as various international agencies. Provide lab testing support.

Qualifications:

• BS Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or similar
• Advanced experience with integrated system design, including mechanical and thermal simulation, 3D modeling, GD&T, DFM, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 10%
