Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for an aerospace automation manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in large-scale tooling design looking to further their career in aerospace.

•      Design jigs, fixtures, and automated tooling for large aerospace structures, from concept through final design (about 65% CAD).

•      Fabricate, test, and troubleshoot prototypes; collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and integration teams.

•      Lead project tasks with minimal guidance and mentor junior engineers; up to 10% travel.

Essential Qualifications

•      8+ years of mechanical design experience, including large-scale tooling projects (not just small jigs) in aerospace or automated tooling.

•      Jig and automated tooling design, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFM; CATIA preferred, SolidWorks acceptable; Jira, MS Project, or Smartsheet; U.S. Person (ITAR).

•      BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Bonus Qualifications

•      Robotics experience; FEA and large weldment structure design.

•      E-Plan, Siemens TIA, or Cognex familiarity.

•      French speaker; passport in hand.
