My client is a actively seeking someone who can be the right handed person to the Mechanical Team Lead or actually job be the Mechanical Team Lead.This position will ill oversee day-to-day operations of the mechanical engineering team while continuing to serve in a senior technical capacity. This individual will provide mentorship, support project delivery, coordinate resources, and help drive consistency and quality across projects.ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead and support the mechanical engineering team in the Baltimore office.Assist with workload planning, staff assignments, and resource coordination.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineers.Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.Project Leadership & Technical OversightLead multidisciplinary project teams in the design and execution of mechanical systems.Oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design efforts across various building types.Review engineering documents for technical accuracy, completeness, and compliance with codes and standards.Serve as Engineer of Record on select projects as appropriate.Help resolve technical challenges and maintain design consistency across the department.Client & Internal CollaborationWork closely with clients to understand project needs and ensure successful delivery.Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and offices.Support proposal efforts, including scope development and fee input.Represent the mechanical team in project meetings and internal planning discussions.Quality & PerformancePromote adherence to WRA quality control processes.Monitor project schedules and budgets in collaboration with project managers.Encourage continuous improvement in design practices and project delivery.Innovation & Professional DevelopmentStay current with industry trends, sustainable design practices, and emerging technologies.Encourage adoption of BIM, Revit, and energy modeling tools.Support team members' professional growth and licensure goals.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Maryland or the ability to obtain one within 6 months through comity from another state.Minimum of 16 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and project management.Proficiency in industry software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling software.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Must be a US Citizen.#J-18808-Ljbffr
