Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and experienced Senior Medical Assistant to support a leading healthcare organization in Medical Center area of Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a certified Medical Assistant with strong clinical skills who enjoys working in a busy outpatient setting and providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for provider visits and examinations.
• Obtain, measure, and accurately document patient vital signs.
• Assist providers with daily patient care and clinical workflows.
• Perform patient intake and collect relevant medical histories.
• Prepare examination rooms, supplies, and equipment between patient visits.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, providers, and healthcare team members.
• Assist with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.
• Follow established clinical protocols, safety guidelines, infection-control procedures, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Help maintain efficient clinic operations while supporting a high-volume patient schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) certification required.
• Previous primary care experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment.
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused attitude.
• Must successfully complete required drug and nicotine screening.
• This is a non-smoking facility.
