Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Location: This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates residing anywhere within the United States.

Note: Candidates must have 8+ years of direct foreign patent filing and prosecution experience within a law firm environment. Extensive experience with PCT, USPTO prosecution, and international patent filing procedures is required.

Job Description

  • Prepare, coordinate, and file U.S. and PCT patent applications.
  • Coordinate national phase entries and direct foreign patent filings with international associates.
  • Manage foreign patent prosecution dockets and monitor critical deadlines.
  • Coordinate annuity and maintenance fee payments with clients and vendors.
  • Prepare and file IDS submissions and supporting USPTO documentation.
  • Draft declarations, assignments, powers of attorney, and other formal filing documents.
  • Work directly with inventors, attorneys, clients, and foreign counsel throughout the prosecution process.
  • Upload and maintain patent records within client docketing platforms including Anaqua, Lecorpio, and similar systems.
  • Maintain exceptional quality control over docket management and prosecution activities.
  • Support attorneys with administrative and prosecution-related matters while ensuring timely, accurate filings.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of foreign patent filing and prosecution experience in a law firm.
  • Extensive knowledge of USPTO and PCT rules and procedures.
  • Experience with USPTO electronic filing systems.
  • Experience using patent docketing systems such as Anaqua, Lecorpio, IPfolio, or similar.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • Professional communication skills with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates.
  • Positive, dependable, proactive team player.
