Sr. Piping Design Designer :: 100% Remote

Job Summary

100%  Remote 

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Piping Designer for a remote position. This role involves working on projects that are central to our clients' businesses, including state-of-the-art industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. You will be responsible for managing the schedule and technical quality of assigned engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with client expectations, scope, budget, earned value (progress measurement), and leading projects with multi-office execution. Prompt recognition and communication of scope and design changes are essential. You will work with a multi-discipline, highly interactive team to review vendor drawings, execute piping engineering design, and develop design estimates. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to use your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, guiding them forward.

Responsibilities

• Manage the schedule and technical quality of assigned engineering tasks.
• Recognize and communicate scope and design changes promptly.
• Collaborate with a multi-discipline team to review vendor drawings and execute piping engineering design.
• Develop design estimates.
• Mentor other professionals in the team.

Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

• Associate's degree (AA) in Computer-Aided Drafting and Design or a similar technical degree.
• At least 15 years of piping design experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of piping design in 2D/3D modeling software such as Hexagon Smartplant S3D and Autodesk Plant 3D.
• Ideal candidates are local to the Cincinnati office, but we are open to candidates anywhere in the US.
