Sr. Power BI Developer

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Senior Power BI Developer for a full-time position. The Senior Power BI Developer will play a crucial role in converting business requirements into data-driven and analytical solutions. By working closely with various department teams, this role will design, develop, and implement dashboards, reports, and analytics applications, primarily using Power BI. The candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions through coding, process improvements, and data security.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business analysts and users to gather reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable Power BI data models and visualizations.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports, adhering to architecture guidelines and best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for data models and applications, addressing business needs and resolving issues promptly.
• Work on design options and approaches, create mock-ups, and develop solutions in line with specifications.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to improve coding, processes, and functionalities.
• Implement user authentication and role-based access controls to maintain data security and integrity.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues through troubleshooting and impact analysis.
• Participate in the Scrum process, managing Jira stories from start to finish.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development and administration.
• Experience with SAP data or Qlikview is a plus.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, capable of functioning both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
