    POSITION OVERVIEW
    As a Sr. Principal Supplier Technical Engineer, your roles and responsibilities will include:

    • Serve as the on-site technical liaison between the company and a critical manufacturing supplier.
    • Review engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
    • Support Material Review Board (MRB) activities and provide technical dispositions for non-conforming material.
    • Evaluate supplier manufacturing processes, tooling, inspection methods, and process controls.
    • Investigate yield issues and implement corrective actions to improve supplier performance.
    • Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
    • Validate corrective actions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure supplier compliance with engineering requirements and manufacturing standards.
    • Support PPAP qualification activities and engineering documentation when required.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Supplier Technical Engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal candidate would have deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

    • Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Investment casting.
    • Supplier Quality Engineering.
    • Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Material Review Board (MRB).
    • GD&T (ANSI Y14.5).
    • Engineering drawings and specifications.
    • CMM reports and 3D scanning.
    • Digital comparator inspection.
    • Fixtures and gauges.
    • Manufacturing process improvement.
    • Non-conforming material evaluation.
    • PPAP qualification packages.
    • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
    • Cross-functional collaboration and supplier management.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    Compensation: Based on experience. One of the best in the industry.
    Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.
    Minimum Experience: Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, or Production Engineering experience with strong investment casting expertise.
    Type of Position: Full-time Permanent position with benefits.
    Location: Whitehall, Michigan (primary on-site supplier location) or Wichita Falls, Texas.
