    Job Description

AWS Applied AI Solutions (AAIS) is building toward a future where every business innovates with Amazon AI teammates. To get there, we build AI solutions that improve human capabilities and transform entire business functions. We create end-to-end products that surprise and delight out-of-the-box, making complex things easy and hard things possible, with no cloud experience required. We start with customers who embrace the future and build bridges to meet the rest where they are. We pursue ambitious opportunities with conviction, and we are looking for builders who share that mindset.

As a Senior Product Manager - Technical on the Visual Reasoning team, you will help shape the future of computer vision and agentic AI. You will define and deliver products that change how businesses use visual reasoning and intelligent agents to solve complex operational problems. The team works like a startup inside AWS Applied AI Solutions. You will work with research scientists, engineers, and UI/UX designers to take new visual reasoning solutions, including computer vision, agentic AI, and user experiences, from concept to production.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager - Technical to join our Visual Reasoning New Initiatives team. You will own the product definition and roadmap that takes our Visual Reasoning solutions from internal pilots to general availability with external customers. You will decide what we build and why, based on direct customer discovery, pilot data, and business goals. You will work closely with research scientists, engineers, and UI/UX designers to turn customer problems into requirements, prioritize capabilities, and define what success looks like at launch and at scale. Many of these problems haven"t been solved at scale before, much is still unknown, and we move fast. You will set product direction for capabilities built on Visual Question Answering (VQA) for computer vision and agentic AI for intelligent user experiences.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Visual Reasoning solutions, and align engineering, science, and design teams on priorities and trade-offs
    • Run customer discovery with external customers and pilot sites to understand operational workflows, pain points, integration requirements, and buying criteria
    • Write PRFAQs, product requirements, and user stories that turn customer needs into clear technical and functional specifications
    • Work with Science and Software Development Managers to decide which model capabilities, features, and use cases to invest in, based on customer value, technical feasibility, and cost
    • Define success metrics for adoption, customer outcomes, and business impact; use pilot data and customer feedback to decide what to change and what to build next
    • Own launch readiness for new applications, customer verticals, and deployment formats, including pricing input, go-to-market, and customer onboarding
    • Present product strategy, customer insights, and business results to VP and SVP leadership

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
