    Job Description

Sellers' trust in Amazon is our top priority. We are building a new generation of AI-native products to fundamentally change how Amazon identifies, understands, and eliminates the problems that create friction for selling partners. This is an opportunity to apply Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning, and agentic AI to one of Amazon's most complex problems: turning millions of fragmented seller signals into actionable intelligence and systematically eliminating the root causes behind them.

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Tech to lead a strategic AI initiative focused on reducing the need for selling partners WW to contact Amazon by systematically identifying and eliminating the root causes of seller friction. The initiative, Root Cause Elimination (RCE), will build an intelligent, end-to-end system that brings together seller signals across contacts, escalations, audits, and other mechanisms and uses AI to generate insights, identify and consolidate root causes, quantify and prioritize their impact, recommend preventive actions, and continuously validate whether those interventions eliminated the underlying seller problem. The vision is to move from teams manually finding and reacting to individual defects to an intelligent system that continuously learns from seller experiences and helps Amazon prevent those experiences from recurring.

From Day 1, this leader will have ownership of a large, ambiguous product space and the autonomy to define the product vision, AI strategy, technical roadmap, and customer experience. You will partner deeply with Engineering and Science to define LLM capabilities, agentic workflows, machine-learning models, human-in-the-loop mechanisms, and AI evaluation frameworks, while building experiences that enable Policy and Program teams to turn AI-generated intelligence into action. You will make high-judgment decisions about where AI can automate work, where human judgment should remain in the loop, and how the system earns trust as it scales globally.

The Senior Product Manager-Tech will be a bar-raising product leader and communicator who thrives at the intersection of AI, technology, and complex business problems. This role requires the ability to clearly articulate complex problems and solutions, align teams toward clear priorities, advocate for investment, and establish mechanisms that measure progress against shared goals. You will collaborate across Product, Engineering, Science, Operations, Policy, and Program teams and influence leaders across multiple VP-level organizations.

This is a global role with significant interaction with teams outside the United States and the opportunity to build a product from its earliest stages. The decisions made in this role will directly shape the experience of selling partners, how Amazon uses AI to identify and eliminate systemic seller defects, and our ability to build seller trust at scale. The opportunity is not simply to make existing processes more efficient with AI, but to build a fundamentally different way of finding and eliminating seller problems before they generate repeated friction and contacts.

    Key job responsibilities

Define and evolve the product strategy and vision grounded in customer needs, internal insights, and external analysis.

Identify opportunities to improve the Selling Partner experience and translate them into products and features with clear business impact.

Own the product roadmap from concept to launch - prioritize ruthlessly for ROI, manage scope, and deliver a consistent cadence of high-quality releases.

Write clear, comprehensive requirements documents and partner with engineering to influence technical design, make tradeoffs, and unblock delivery.

Work directly with internal customers to understand their use cases, pain points, and existing solutions.

Drive execution by establishing clear ownership, project commitments, and reporting mechanisms that keep teams accountable.

Build and own cross-org mechanisms (QBRs, roadmap reviews, goal alignment) to drive visibility and coordinated execution across teams.

Communicate and evangelize product innovations to stakeholders and the broader selling community.

Query and analyze data to surface insights that inform strategy, prioritization, and business decisions at scale.

    A day in the life

You will own the product roadmap deciding what gets built now, what comes later, and what doesn"t make the cut.

You will use your technical instincts to challenge assumptions before they become expensive mistakes. You will think beyond the immediate ask and build products that hold up as needs evolve, not just patching today"s problem but getting ahead of tomorrow"s.

You will live in the tradeoffs by balancing what customers want, what the business needs, and what"s technically realistic. When something is a bottleneck, you will find it. When something is inefficient, you will fix it. When there"s no perfect answer, you will pick the best one and move.

You will ship. On time, with the right features, at a quality bar you"re proud of. And then you will make sure people actually use it by evangelizing the value, making onboarding dead simple, and removing every reason someone might not adopt.

You will dive deep into data to inform your decisions, write clear documents for senior leaders, and guide cross-functional teams forward through influence and not authority. You will be equally comfortable in a technical design review and a strategy discussion, and you will thrive in an environment that moves fast and rewards clarity of thought.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
