Sr Project Engineer (Automotive Project)

Position Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our team on an automotive project in Spring Hill, Tennessee. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor the onsite construction engineering work that keeps the project moving, and you will be the link between the project team, the architects and engineers, and the owner. When something changes, you make sure everyone hears about it clearly and in time to act.

What You Will Do

Keep the project organized + moving

• Provide technical support to resolve and track project issues.
• Manage all project document control.
• Process submittals and RFIs, and keep design decisions moving.
• Maintain the project schedule.
• Prepare and issue meeting minutes.

Support procurement + cost

• Support Procurement in distributing bidding documents and tracking bidders.
• Receive, review, and evaluate contractor quotations for changes, and process change orders.

Plan the site + the approvals

• Assist with planning and managing site logistics.
• Manage the plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities.

Keep people safe + grow the team

• Enforce Barton Malow safety policies on the jobsite.
• Serve as a resource for less experienced project engineers and interns, sharing what you know.

What You Bring

• 4-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience, or related construction internship experience
• Industrial or automotive experience preferred
• OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to solve problems on your own
• A proactive attitude and a real commitment to safety
