Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineerto serve as a principal technical authority and strategic decision-maker within their engineering team. Bringing domain expertise in agricultural and bulk material processing construction, this individual will play a vital role in de-risking projects, sharpening preconstruction engineering, and elevating active field execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior engineering voice for critical design decisions, constructability analyses, and overall project delivery strategies.

• Apply practical engineering judgment across complex industrial and agricultural systems—including grain handling, feed mills, bulk processing, and continuous mechanical conveying systems.

• Assist department leadership in assessing workload priorities, technical risk profiles, and standard operating procedures to scale engineering capacity.

• Support early-stage planning, preliminary layout development, and technical feasibility reviews to produce buildable, cost-conscious customer proposals.

• Assess existing client facilities, brownfield integration constraints, and operational realities to shape realistic schedule, budget, and scope assumptions.

• Provide engineering assumptions, system equipment recommendations, and constructability narratives for competitive bid submittals.

• Act as a rapid-response engineering resource for active jobsites, resolving complex fitment issues, equipment clashes, and field coordination questions.

• Review and validate customer approval drawings, vendor equipment submissions, 2D/3D fabrication models, and field-generated revisions.

• Ensure technical parameters and engineering revisions are promptly and accurately communicated across Purchasing, Manufacturing, Project Managers, and Field Superintendents.

• Proactively identify access, installation, maintenance, safety, and equipment clearance bottlenecks before they impact project schedules or budgets.

• Drive drafting discipline, quality control review habits, and lessons-learned workflows across the engineering lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of progressive engineering and project execution experience in agricultural construction, industrial bulk material handling, manufacturing or related design-build sectors.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil, Structural) or equivalent senior-level technical field experience.

• Proven ability to mentor, advise, and guide cross-functional teams through technical credibility, practical judgment, and clear communication.

• Demonstrated success leading preconstruction technical evaluations and conceptual layouts.

• Advanced knowledge of industrial installation methods, structural steel coordination, millwright practices, and heavy process equipment layouts.

• Working fluency with 2D/3D CAD platforms (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
