JSG is seeking a Sr. Project Manager for a direct hire, onsite position for our large and well established commercial electrical contractor client in the greater San Antonio area.
DESCRIPTION:
The Sr. Project Managers primary responsibility is as the companys principal representative for the administrative and technical management of the construction project. Supervises all activities related to Contract Administration, Document Control, Change Orders, Submittals, Procurement and Schedule. Works closely with Estimating during pre-construction process. In conjunction with the Preconstruction Department, interfaces with owners, A/Es suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve constructability and/or value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution.
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll report to the Project Executive
and will be responsible for the following:
Review owner contract and ensures compliance
Manage development of master project schedule and quality control program
Identify critical issues and milestones
Review budgets and scopes with Preconstruction Department
Manage project budget
Identify potential additional cost issues and forecasts accordingly
Ensure that safety is properly incorporated into job planning and execution
Manage the development of a GMP or Lump Sum Contract
Prepare subcontract and owner Change Orders
Prepare Monthly Owner Requisitions
Analyze financial ability of subcontractors to perform
Ensure all contractual requirements of Subcontractor/Vendor have been fulfilled prior to their mobilization
Manage project assets
Conduct weekly and monthly review (study) of job cost reports
Develop Look-Ahead Schedules
Manage companys quality control program on the project
REQUIREMENTS:
4 year Construction/Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
Minimum of five years experience in construction, design, finance and management required
5 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor
Proficiency with Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, MS Word, Excel, and AIA Contract Documents
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents
Salary range: $145k - $175k
