Role Overview
Lead capital projects, including packaging operations, from design through construction, commissioning, qualification and handover to Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up the project charter, execution plan, organization and governance.
- Manage scope, cost, schedule, risk and change against the approved baseline.
- Report to leadership and steering committees with forecasts and variance explanations.
- Lead design development, design reviews and constructability reviews.
- Coordinate engineers, contractors and equipment vendors with the construction team.
- Define packaging requirements including layout, throughput/OEE, labeling, vision and serialization.
- Manage packaging OEMs through specification, FAT, installation and SAT.
- Plan line installation and shutdowns to minimize disruption to live packaging operations.
- Integrate CQV into the project plan and drive operational readiness and handover.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 10+ years of capital project management in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
- Proven track record leading projects through design, construction and qualification.
- Direct experience delivering packaging lines, line modifications or serialization projects.
- Strong cost, schedule and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience on complex capital projects with a total installed cost (TIC) above $30M.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with secondary packaging and combination products.
