Senior Project Manager Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the launch of new utility customer programs, including the Scheduled Dispatch Virtual Power Plant (SDVPP) and Bring Your Own Device Load Reduction (BYODLR) programs. This role requires strong cross-functional leadership to deliver a state-mandated program launch within an aggressive timeline.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of new Virtual Power Plant (VPP) customer programs.

• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and launch strategies.

• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business operations, IT, OT, and program administration.

• Manage project budgets, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and quality standards.

• Understand customer journeys and IT/OT requirements to ensure successful program implementation.

• Drive accountability, resolve roadblocks, and ensure timely execution with minimal oversight.

• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communicate progress to senior leadership.

• Navigate complex organizational dynamics while maintaining project momentum.

Senior Project Manager Qualifications

Required:

• PMP certification is mandatory.

• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects and program launches.

• Strong project planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder management skills.

• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet aggressive deadlines.

• Proficiency in project management tools and reporting.

Preferred:

• Experience with utility customer programs, energy management, or demand response initiatives.

• Familiarity with Virtual Power Plants (VPP), distributed energy resources (DER), and IT/OT integration.
