About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with deep technical expertise in

electrical and mechanical systems to lead complex capital and facilities projects from initiation

through closeout. This role is responsible for managing highly technical, multidisciplinary

projects-including power, electrical distribution, HVAC, mechanical systems, and critical

infrastructure-while ensuring strict adherence to scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality

standards.

You will serve as the technical authority and owner for assigned projects, coordinating

designers, contractors, vendors, facilities teams, and client stakeholders. The role requires the

ability to independently lead projects, evaluate constructability and technical risk, challenge

assumptions, and drive clear decision-making in high-impact, operational environments.

What You'll Do:

Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of electrical and mechanical construction and infrastructure
  • projects, from feasibility and design through commissioning and closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality,
  • safety, and risk.
  • Develop and manage detailed project execution plans, schedules, and cost controls
  • aligned with client and PMO standards.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, schedule, cost, and operational risks.•
  • Drive disciplined change management, including scope validation, pricing review, and
  • approval workflows.

Technical Oversight (Electrical & Mechanical)

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership for projects involving:
  • Electrical distribution, power upgrades, switchgear, generators, UPS, lighting, and controls
  • Mechanical systems including HVAC, AHUs, chillers, boilers, piping, and controls
  • Review and validate design documents, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings
  • for technical accuracy and constructability.
  • Challenge contractors and consultants on means, methods, sequencing, and design
  • decisions to ensure best value and operational reliability.
  • Support commissioning, testing, turnover, and O&M documentation to ensure systems
  • perform as designed.

Contractor & Vendor Management

  • Lead procurement activities including RFP development, bid evaluation, scope leveling,
  • and contract award recommendations and contract award recommendations.
  • Manage general contractors, prime contractors, and trade partners; enforce contractual
  • requirements and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular site meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution with contractors
  • and stakeholders.
  • Address performance gaps promptly and escalate risks as required to protect client and
  • company interests.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on technical and delivery
  • matters.
  • Provide clear, executive-level communication on project status, risks, decisions, and
  • financial performance.
  • Facilitate alignment between facilities, engineering, operations, finance, safety, and
  • leadership teams.
  • Represent the organization professionally in client meetings, audits, and executive reviews.

Financial & Schedule Controls

  • Develop and manage detailed project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.•
  • Track commitments, invoices, change orders, and forecast-to-complete accuracy.•
  • Maintain and update project schedules utilizing MS Project; analyze impacts and recovery
  • options.
  • Ensure accurate, timely reporting within PMO systems (Smartsheet, Kahua, Excel, SharePoint).

PMO Standards & Governance

  • Ensure projects comply with PMO, client, and regulatory requirements.•
  • Maintain high-quality project documentation, risk logs, schedules, and financial records.
  • Support audits, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior project managers and contribute to PMO best practices and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years of project management experience delivering electrical and mechanical construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to independently evaluate design and construction decisions.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex projects in occupied facilities, mission-critical, or capital environments.
  • Construction contracts, change management, cost controls, and schedule management.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Proficiency with project controls tools such as Smartsheet, Kahua (or similar), Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with power infrastructure, critical facilities, or large-scale mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with level 5 commissioning processes and operational turnover requirements.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification.
  • OSHA training or safety management experience.
  • Experience working in regulated or audit-driven environments.
