• Job Title: Senior Software Engineer, Consent Management Platform
• Job Summary: As a Senior Engineer supporting the Consent Management Platform, you will provide technical leadership in designing, building, and operating the secure, scalable services, APIs, and integrations that enable customer consent and preference management across the digital ecosystem. You will own core platform capabilities including consent records, audit history, identity integrations, and compliance controls, while partnering with Engineering, Quality, DevOps, InfoSec, Legal, Data Governance, Marketing Technology, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Provide senior technical leadership for the design and implementation of the platform services, APIs, data models and integrations underpinning the Consent Management capability.
• Translate agreed business, customer-experience, legal and regulatory requirements into clear technical designs and executable engineering plans.
• Design solutions that consistently capture, associate, retrieve, update and honor customer choices across anonymous, email-based and authenticated experiences.
• Establish robust engineering patterns for consent records, versioning, auditability, identity association, retention, access control and lifecycle management.
• Lead complex engineering initiatives across the full software-development lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through implementation, launch, monitoring and ongoing operation.
• Make sound technical decisions by balancing security, scalability, reliability, cost, delivery speed, customer impact, and long-term maintainability.
• Build and integrate API-driven services across customer experiences, identity systems, enterprise applications, cloud data stores and third-party consent-management technologies.
• Partner closely with experience and capability owners to ensure technical solutions enable consistent consent experiences across relevant digital touchpoints.
• Improve platform reliability through monitoring, alerting, performance analysis, capacity planning, incident response and operational automation.
• Explore and apply AI-enabled development practices where they can improve engineering productivity, system quality, platform operations or delivery outcomes.
• Mentor engineers through design guidance, code reviews, technical pairing and knowledge sharing, raising the technical capability of the broader team.
• Participate in the team's on-call schedule and support critical production services when required.

What you'll bring

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating modern, multi-tier applications and services in production environments.
• Demonstrated experience independently leading complex technical initiatives involving multiple systems, teams, or organizational stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience designing and developing API-driven platforms that integrate customer experiences, identity systems, data stores, vendor products, or enterprise applications.
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages and frameworks, with the ability to evaluate and adopt technologies based on platform needs.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems design, including service boundaries, asynchronous processing, failure handling, scalability, resiliency, and eventual consistency.
• Experience designing data models and services that require strong auditability, version history, traceability, and accurate point-in-time answers.
• Understanding consent management, customer preferences, responsible data use, or related data-governance concepts.
• Strong knowledge of data-management principles, including ownership, classification, quality, lineage, retention, access control, auditability, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures, including containerized workloads such as EKS or ECS and managed data stores such as RDS or DynamoDB on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Experience implementing secure service-to-service integrations, authentication and authorization controls, encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Familiarity with security standards, dependency scanning, and vulnerability management.
• Excellent communicator who can simplify technical issues for cross-functional stakeholders.
• A mentor who models clean code, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between$141,085 - $187,718 per year. The full range is $141,085 - $254,111 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate's qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
