Become part of the Labor Management team, designing, building, and delivering a robust application that supports Publix business areas in managing labor activities such as forecasting, time attendance, and scheduling. In this role, you will be seen as the product champion - leading the technical strategy, driving the delivery of a highly available, resilient, and scalable labor management application. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical team is meeting business goals.

Location: Hybrid (Lakeland, FL): To support our hybrid work model, candidates must reside, or be willing to relocate, within a commutable distance of Lakeland, FL.

Your Impact:

• Design and deliver scalable applications, APIs, databases, and event-driven solutions using React, .NET, SQL, and Kafka.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, support, and enhance enterprise applications.
• Lead technical delivery for multiple initiatives while ensuring adherence to development standards.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor engineers to drive engineering excellence.
• Participate in Agile planning, refinement, review, and retrospective activities.
• Develop and optimize Kafka-based integrations and real-time data processing solutions.
• Improve database performance through SQL tuning, indexing, and query optimization.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or other analytical discipline or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications with C# and .NET
• 1+ years of experience developing enterprise applications with C# and modern .NET (.NET 8 or later)
• 1+ years of experience with SQL, including experience with database design, query optimization, and the use of ORM frameworks (such as Dapper or Entity Framework) to develop efficient and scalable applications
• 1+ years of experience developing modern frontend React.js frameworks integrated with backend APIs
• 1+ year of experience working in Agile environments and utilizing Azure DevOps for backlog management, sprint planning, code delivery, and CI/CD support.
• Experience designing and supporting event-driven applications using Apache Kafka, including message production, consumption, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in reviewing and approving design of complex technical solutions working with architects and other company resources
• Experience with Kubernetes (K3), Docker, or other containerization technologies such as OpenShift
• Experience planning, organizing, and managing projects and projects teams
• Experience or desire to work in event-based/micro-service style architecture
• Experience with .NET 10
• Experience with Kafka Connect and Kafka Smart Router
