Sr. Staff Audit Support Specialist (2026-3311)

Sparks Group is partnered with an nationally known non-profit telecommunications company seeking an experienced Sr. Auditor to support compliance, financial, and operational audit activities for a mission-driven organization. This role will assess organizational risks, evaluate internal controls, develop and execute audit procedures, and communicate actionable recommendations to management and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute compliance, financial, and operational audits in accordance with IIA standards and applicable audit requirements.
• Evaluate organizational processes, records, internal controls, and operating practices to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop audit procedures, work papers, reports, and supporting documentation; perform quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Communicate audit findings and results to auditees, management, and the Audit Committee, providing practical recommendations for corrective action.
• Collaborate across departments while providing guidance to junior auditors and supporting investigations, strategic initiatives, and special projects.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant training/certifications.
• 5–7 years of directly related audit experience, including operational, financial, and/or compliance auditing.
• Ideal experience with Payment Quality Assurance (PQA) audit experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ACL, Visio, and MS Project strongly preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally, work independently and collaboratively, and travel periodically as needed.

Preferred Certifications: CPA, CIA, or CFE.

This job is Hybrid Remote.

Pay Range: Hourly $40.00 to $45.00
