    The Sr Student Finance Analyst - COD Team is responsible for timely and accurate disbursement of federal, state and private student financial aid funds for all Unitek Learning schools.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Monitor and maintain reports from Anthology, COD, and other related databases to maintain awareness of expected financial aid disbursements, refunds, past due funds, processing errors, or aging activities.
    • Review Anthology exceptions and COD records to identify issues preventing the disbursement of Title IV funds. Research and resolve exceptions in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Initiate and monitor disbursement and refunds of federal, state, and private financial aid funds to student ledgers using Anthology processes.
    • Evaluate aged receivables to identify issues preventing timely disbursement of financial aid funds. Research and resolve process and eligibility issues to enable disbursement.
    • Monitor inter-departmental requests and activities submitted through Anthology's Contact Manager and respond/resolve appropriately.
    • Maintain detailed reports documenting aged funds and reasons for non-disbursement. Follow up as necessary to facilitate disbursement.
    • Serve as first line of contact for COD Team Analysts with questions on policy or processing of complicated student records.
    • Assist Executive Director, Student Finance with training of other Student Finance Analysts on the COD team.
    • Assist Executive Director, Student Finance with testing and setup of functionality in Anthology and related student information systems.
    • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

    Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience working in the administration of Title IV student aid.
    • Bachelor's degree with coursework in business, finance, auditing or accounting preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
    • Organized and detail oriented.
    • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload based on urgency and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of MS Excel, including pivot tables and simple formulas
    • Recent experience with Department of Education COD system.
    • Recent experience with Student Information System such as Anthology, Banner, or PeopleSoft.
    • Ability to define problems, research causes, collect data, and recommend solutions.
