    About the Role: Join Caterpillar Inc as a Senior Supplier Technical Engineer, overseeing the technical evaluation of purchased materials and ensuring supplier quality within the Global Supply Chain. Serve as the on-site expert for inbound activities, managing all aspects of quality in the warehouse and contributing to process improvement.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all areas of supplier quality, resolving issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement.
    • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, addressing technical questions and ensuring 5 Sigma Quality performance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality, velocity, and cost goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Technical Degree (preferably in engineering) or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years in a related role.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing and warehousing operations/processes.
    • Proficiency in using basic hand tools and inspection equipment.
    • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing desired.
    • High ethical standards and professionalism.
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
    • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 10-15%).
