Sr. Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply ChainOur client for the Sr. Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain opportunity is a global manufacturer and supplier to automotive and mobility, aerospace, defense, HVAC, and Industrial markets serving OEM customers. The Sr. Vice President of Global Procurement and Supply Chain will report directly to the CEO and lead a global team of just under 100 individuals consisting of 5-7 direct reports. The SVP of Global Procurement and Supply Chain will drive strategic leadership of the procurement and supply chain functions to drive business outcomes that align with organizational goals and initiatives. This person will be a part of the executive leadership team and work closely with a range of stakeholders working in a cross-functional environment. The role is based on the West Coast of the United States. Relocation assistance is provided if needed.Job DescriptionAccountable for global procurement and supply chain strategies developing, implementing and executing the 3-5 year strategy to maximize valueDrive the organization through clear goal setting, operational steering, and execution ensuring meeting company wide goals and business objectivesEnsure sourcing and procurement strategies align with the broader organization wide goals working in collaboration with the P&L leaders of the regions globally, commercial, product development and R&D and others.Ensure quality, delivery, risk assessment, cost, and execution align with global strategies and the wider businessBuild strong relationships with R&D and Operations (among other cross functional teams) to drive collaboration and innovationDrive strong meaningful executive relationships with global suppliers serving as the face of the organizationDrive and ensure strong communication, alignment and responsiveness among suppliers, internal teams, and cross functional teamsHold global team and organization to performance metrics and goals that drive business outcomesStay abreast of industry trends and market indicators globallyLead global team driving a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and learningDrive cost savings globallyThe Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management or relatedMasters or MBA preferredMinimum 15 years of experience in procurement and supply chain with growing responsibility in a complex global manufacturing organization and environmentMinimum 7 years of leadership experience leading supply chain and procurement teamsMust have significant experience in complex manufacturing - automotive, mobility, aerospace, defense preferredExcellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen.Strong negotiation skills working with suppliers while also delivering positive outcomes for both partiesDeep financial acumen and able to define clear goals for growth and working capitalDeep knowledge and experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and TQMExcellent leader with a track record of building high performing teams and driving change managementOutstanding leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and unify teams.Strong problem solving skills with experience navigating complex issuesComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business environment in transformationHigh standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational excellence.Ability to travel domestically and globallyWhat's on OfferBase salary $325,000 - $375,000, bonus, long term incentive (stock), relocation package offered if needed, vacation, full benefits, 401K, holidays.
