PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Meets or exceeds service needs for all applicable company manufacturing and/or distributed equipment within the assigned region(s).  Manages the Water System products to ensure service operations within the assigned function(s) are in compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of Water System products; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.  

  • Receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert in providing high level field support for all Water System products.

  • Maintain required documentation flow and processing for product complaints.

  • At the direction of supervisor may performs on-site inspections of installations upon completion of work.  Audits installation for compliance with accepted practice and manufacturer's standards as provided.

  • Provides high level technical support to the Technical Services work group.

  • Provide expertise to Customers on ordering of spare parts for servicing and repairing equipment.

  • May provide Technical education as part of a cross functional role.

  • Handle various confidential patient and/or health information in compliance with company policies and procedures, HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor service inventory to ensure data accuracy and integrity while minimizing write-offs.

  • May provide assistance to junior level staff with more complex tasks that require a higher level of understanding of functions.

  • May escalate issues to supervisor/manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.

  • Mentor other staff as applicable.

  • Assist with various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.

  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

SUPERVISION:

  • None

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Bio-Medical Engineering; or equivalent experience and education preferred; Advanced Degree desirable

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 5 - 8 years' related experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience; or equivalent directly related work experience.

  • A minimum of five years' experience in the Water Treatment Field as a Technician preferred.

  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and project planning processes

  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email applications.

  • Excellent customer service skills to successfully handle confidential information with a high level of professionalism, discretion and tact.

Rate: $72,900 - $121,600

The rate of pay for this position will depend on the successful candidate’s work location and qualifications, including relevant education, work experience, skills, and competencies.
