Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $80,000.00 AnnuallyAbout the Role:AKDO is a leading luxury tile and stone company serving a nationwide network of dealers and showrooms. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant with a primary focus on Accounts Payable to join our Finance team in Bridgeport, CT.Reporting to the Controller, this position is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, vendor payments, and employee expense reports. This role maintains vendor records, resolves payment discrepancies, performs account reconciliations, supports month-end close activities, and ensures compliance with company policies and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to delivering excellent service while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.This is a fully onsite role based in Bridgeport, CT.Key Responsibilities:Review, verify, code, and process invoices in accordance with company policies and approval workflows.Manage payment processing (ACH, wires) and maintain payment schedules.Maintain vendor records, including W-9 forms, payment terms, and contact information.Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.Perform AP reconciliations, including vendor statement reviews and issue resolution.Support month-end closing, including accruals and audit documentation.Process employee expense reports in compliance with company policy.Ensure adherence to internal controls and documentation standards.Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and system efficiency.Support general accounting and special projects as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting3+ years of accounting experience, including Accounts Payable responsibilitiesExperience in high-volume, B2B environments preferredExperience to both AR and AP functions is a plusProficiency in ERP systems; NetSuite preferredAdvanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and problem-solving skillsMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsCompany-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability401(k) retirement plan with company contributionGenerous paid time off and company-paid holidaysAKDO is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity in the workplace.#J-18808-Ljbffr
