Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant in Atlanta, GA. to join our family.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assist in preparing required material for annual external audit
•  Participates in month-end close process
• Prepares journal entries for both job costing and general ledger
• Calculates and files sales & use tax for multiple jurisdictions
• Set up and close new jobs in the accounting system
•  Manage company credit cards
• Various balance sheet account reconciliations
• Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, employees). Maintain relationship to ensure needs are met and problems/conflicts are resolved.
• Communicates and reinforces the Company vision, mission and values.
• Must be knowledgeable about and follow the company's safety policies and procedures.
•  Maintain regular, consistent and punctual attendance in accordance with the position’s schedule and operational needs.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and others to support effective teamwork and business operations.
• Must be willing to travel, if required.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 2-4 years’ experience required. Job costing experience preferred, and knowledge of Viewpoint software is a plus.
