Staff Accountant

JOB SUMMARY: 

The primary purpose of this position is to report, on a timely and accurate basis, facility financial statements.   This is an on-site, in office position.

 JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

·        To assist with monthly financial close within the scheduled time frames.

·        Requires a self-starter capable of working independently handling multiple tasks & performing under the pressure of deadlines. 

·        Should be professional in appearance, detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills & have a high energy level.  

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education

·        Four-year degree. BS degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

 Experience           

·        1-2 years of experience in public accounting or in multi-entity general ledger close, financial statement preparation and account reconciliation. 

·        Superior level skills in computer technology with knowledge of Microsoft Office and extensive Excel knowledge; experience with Great Plan Dynamics and Management Reporter a plus. 

·        Healthcare or long term care experiences a plus.

·        Requires someone with the ability to work as a professional with others in a team environment. 

Specific Requirements

·        Review and maintain assigned nursing facilities’ general ledgers

·        Prepare and enter journal entries for payroll, accruals, and other month end items

·        Maintain balance sheet and bank account reconciliations monthly

·        Maintain capital expenditures ledger

·        Other related financial/census reporting

·        Generate monthly reports to be distributed to facility and corporate management

·        Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager and CFO
