Staff Accountant

Location: Clearwater, FL (100% on-site)

Pay: $65k -$85k DOE

Our client is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Staff Accountant who wants to become an integral contributor to a growing organization while building broad accounting and business experience.

You'll gain exposure to financial reporting, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable, inventory, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and M&A, while learning how accounting connects to production, supply chain, logistics, and overall business operations.

What You'll Do

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger and prepare journal entries for month-end/year-end close
• Perform inventory accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
• Prepare fixed asset, depreciation, debt, and intercompany reconciliations
• Complete bank reconciliations and support treasury activities
• Assist with external audits and resolve discrepancies
• Manage invoicing and accounts receivable
• Calculate and reconcile sales commissions
• Partner with sales and operational teams to resolve billing issues
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Analyze financial results and identify trends
• Gain exposure to M&A integration and financial analysis
• Understand cost drivers including labor, materials, inventory, and production

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Accounting experience with a strong desire to learn and grow
• ERP experience; Syspro is a plus
• Advanced Excel skills; Access, VBA, or SQL is a plus
• Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
• Analytical, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Team-first attitude with strong accountability and drive
