Staff Accountant - Client Accounting & Advisory (Remote)

About the Role

This is an execution-focused accounting role. You'll own accurate, timely bookkeeping for a range of clients, and the transaction-level judgment that comes with it. You're making real calls, and flagging what doesn't look right instead of guessing. If you want ownership from day one, this is where you get it.

What You'll Do

• Code and categorize transactions on a daily or weekly cadence
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including bill pay
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Run payroll for clients
• Record payroll journal entries from the payroll provider
• Maintain supporting schedules: fixed assets, prepaids, accruals
• Prepare and file 1099s for clients 
• Support system migrations and accounting software implementations as needed
• Assist CFOs and Controllers with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and financial technology and accounting software implementations

What You Need

• Must be located in the United States
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Hands-on bookkeeping and payroll experience
• The ability to manage your own workload across several client accounts at once
• Sharp attention to detail
• Dedication to learning and improving performance 
• Clear, direct communication, written and verbal
• Comfort working independently and asking the right questions instead of guessing

Nice to Haves

• Proficiency across multiple accounting platforms 
• Experience across multiple industries or multiple client accounts
• Familiarity with AP/AR automation tools
• Real estate industry experience 
• Background in professional services or another client-facing role
