Staff Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established and growing organization on the east side of Columbus to identify a Staff Accountant for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with at least 2 years of experience who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative environment with strong mentorship and long-term potential.

This position is focused less on transactional accounting and more on financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and analysis. Individuals coming from a small or local CPA firm are highly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to support the month-end close process

Analyze financial results and research variances to ensure accuracy and completeness

Support the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

• Around 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or a small/local CPA firm

• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles

• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

Pay Details: $27.00 to $31.00 per hour
