Our client, a well-established company in the homebuilding industry, is seeking a Staff Accountant to become a key member of its accounting team. This Staff Accountant position offers a broad range of responsibilities and the opportunity to make an immediate impact while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash activity
• 
  
• Prepare and record daily deposits
• 
  
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
• 
  
• Support the month-end close process, including account reconciliations
• 
  
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable online payments
• 
  
• Complete daily check runs and ensure timely vendor payments
• 
  
• Assist with additional accounting projects and financial reporting as needed
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting role
• 
  
• Experience with QuickBooks Online strongly preferred
• 
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including basic formulas (no VLOOKUPs or Pivot Tables required)
• 
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• 
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
•
