Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yrStaff AccountantOne of Vaco's privately-held, billon-dollar clients is looking to add several Staff Accountants to the team due to growth of the company. The current CAO is a client Vaco has worked with for years, specifically helping them to build out the accounting team at a previous company - people have absolutely loved working with them and we've received great feedback on the type of culture and leadership on their teams.The company is big on career-pathing and promotions, offers great benefits (low-cost health insurance, 4 weeks of PTO, 401k match) and they bring in lunch every week.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation and maintenance of general ledger entries.Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts, including cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and statements.Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and audit schedules.Assist in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts.Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.Identify areas of opportunity for improving accounting processes and workflows.Participate in the implementation of new accounting software or systems when applicable.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA or working towards CPA is a plus.1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, etc.) preferred.Vaco provides expert consulting, permanent placement, executive search, managed services, and strategic staffing solutions for companies around the world, in the areas of accounting, finance, technology, healthcare, operations and more.
