Your Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Prepare and post journal entries to support monthly, quarterly, and the annual financial close process.
  • Perform daily bank clearing, including matching bank transactions to the general ledger and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare timely and accurate bank reconciliations for assigned accounts, ensuring reconciling items are clearly identified, supported, and resolved.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data and resolve accounting issues.
  • Support variance commentary preparation for senior management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the accounting function.
  • Support ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Required Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience (insurance industry, and/or auditing experience a plus but not required)
  • Computer Applications – Proficiency with general ledger systems and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word. Intermediate or better skill level in Excel is a must
  • Experience with general ledger systems (Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP preferred)
  • Workflow - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Communication – Ability to clearly communicate with peers.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, work independently, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
