Join us in powering a better world with inertial fusion!This is a full-time, onsite role based at our headquarters in Denver, CO.Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Xcimer team by taking ownership of critical accounting processes including accounts payable and GL accounting, while working cross functionally to support the business operations to understand incurred costs to help us deliver results on a first of its kind fusion energy system. This role involves frequent engagement with business operations and other internal groups, as well as external vendors. It requires a person with a passion for working with people, attention to detail, organizational skills and a proven ability to deliver results. We are looking for a people‑centric Staff Accountant to apply their accounting, organizational and problem‑solving skills, along with a dedication to quality to positively impact the future of energy!Responsibilities Perform day‑to‑day accounting duties in AP, cash management, GL and other duties as assignedAssist with the monthly close process by posting monthly journal entries, performing account reconciliations and ad‑hoc financial analysisSupport annual audit, tax preparation for federal, state, and local tax returnsOwn the PO, AP, and 3‑way match process ensuring bills are reconciled with PO's and vendors are paid on a timely basisAssist on projects and ad hoc assignments as neededQualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience: 1–3 years of accounting experience with direct exposure to accounting operation duties like AP, FA, GL and cash reconciliationsSolid understanding of GAAPExperience with standard software solutions preferred, for example: QuickBooks Online, ERPs, Ramp, CartaProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including the ability to work with complex Excel spreadsheetsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and high customer service capabilitiesDemonstrated organizational skills with a keen attention to detailProactive problem‑solving skills and a willingness to take initiativeAbility to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic and evolving environmentDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionMust be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee of granted asylumDesired CPA (not required)Aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industry experienceExperience with ERP systemsExperience supporting high‑growth or pre‑IPO companies$85,000–$100,000 a yearCandidates may be considered for other positions at Xcimer Energy, and our actual base salary will be determined on an individual basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
