Description
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and reporting packages, for internal and external parties, ensuring full compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Prepare fullâcycle journal entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and consolidation entries (including inter-entity eliminations).
Maintain accurate schedules for key account balances, such as depreciation and amortization schedules, profit and loss allocations, and various accounting details.
Execute processes for the monthly close cycle to comply with company financial close calendar while ensuring high-quality work products, free of errors or significant rework
Review and reconcile intercompany/cross-entity charges including fees, reimbursement allocations, shared services.
Ensure all associated transactions/coding, daily cash receipts, and miscellaneous bank activity are recorded accurately and timely.
Assist in the administration of the company’s expense management system and assist in refining accounting team’s process and procedures for accurate recording of company expenses
Be able to backfill and assist with positive pay for corporate entities as well as revenue billings
Create wires, transfers and standard ACH posting
Complete or review ad hoc projects as needed
Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Accounting required
CPA - preferred
Work Experience:
2+ years of real estate industry experience or corporate accounting experience
Skills:
Strong understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Real estate accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting experience preferred
Experience with Yardi preferred
Experience with FloQast preferred
Intermediate–advanced Excel skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must
Strong planning and organizational skills required
Benefits
Compensation: $65,000 - $85,000 / year
Eligible for discretionary benefits: performance bonus
