Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (70%)

• 
  
• Review and validate invoices for accuracy and completeness
• 
  
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and workflow exceptions
• 
  
• Support vendor payments and credit card administration
• 
  
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment-related inquiries
• 
  
• Opportunity to take on additional full-cycle AP responsibilities over time
• 
  

Reconciliations & Month-End Close (15%)

• 
  
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• 
  
• Assist with accruals and month-end close activities
• 
  
• Research and resolve reconciling items
• 
  

Journal Entries & General Ledger Support (10%)

• 
  
• Prepare journal entries, including expense reallocations
• 
  
• Assist with general ledger maintenance and account analysis
• 
  
• Support monthly accounting processes and reporting
• 
  

Revenue Accounting Support (5%)

• 
  
• Process and upload revenue batches into the accounting system
• 
  
• Convert and validate data files for import
• 
  
• Research and resolve posting discrepancies as needed
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Experience as a Staff Accountant or in a comparable accounting role
• 
  
• Strong accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
• 
  
• Exposure to journal entries, general ledger accounting, and month-end close
• 
  
• Experience with account reconciliations
• 
  
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and strong technical aptitude
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and CSV file management
• 
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 
  
• Relevant accounting experience
• 
  
• Accounting or similar degree
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  
• Nonprofit accounting experience
• 
  
• Revenue recognition or revenue accounting exposure
• 
  
• Experience working in a high-volume transaction environment
•
