We are looking for a knowledgeable accounting professional with experience in bank & general ledger reconciliation. The ideal candidate has experience using various accounting software's such as Business Central and possesses knowledge of Microsoft's suite of products including intermediate level excel skills.Job DescriptionThe Staff Accountant is responsible for the overall financial reporting for multiple retail operations. This role reports to the Controller. They are goal oriented, and deadline driven; consistently keeping daily weekly and monthly accounting timelines on schedule. They accomplish profitability by exercising attention to detail and following the proper processes and policies to maintain accurate financial reports. The Staff Accountant possesses strong communication skills to support an effective relationship between accounting and operations.ResponsibilitiesOverall duties include, but are not limited to:Follow company processes, controls, and policies.Process daily merchant credit card payment batchesReconcile monthly bank reconciliationsAssist with month end processing entriesPrepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentationAssist with annual CPA financial reviewReconcile & pay Business License & Personal Property TaxesWork directly with operations to ensure proper financial transactionsStrong verbal and written communication skills required to support internal associates and resolve issuesProvide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including facilities, and colleagues.Ensure company policies, processes, and procedures are clearly defined, updated, and documentedEducation & SkillsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldPrior accounting experienceExperience in a large accounting departmentStrong organization skills.
