Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Salary Range: $58,000-$68,000 (Depending on Experience)

We're seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the accuracy of financial records. Reporting to the Controller, this role is responsible for revenue reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close activities, cash receipts, bank deposits, and financial reporting support. Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.

• Manage daily cash receipts, bank deposits, and revenue reconciliations.
• 
  
• Support month-end close, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
• 
  
• Assist with grant tracking, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and annual 1099 processing.
• 
  
• Reconcile bank accounts and deferred revenue while maintaining accurate accounting records.
• 
  
• Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• 
  
• Provide backup support for accounting functions and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 
  
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience.
• 
  
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes.
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• 
  
• Experience with Sage MIP Accounting and Altru is a plus.
• 
  
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
