Staff Accountant Full-Time | ExemptHybrid – Columbus, OHSalary Range: $55,000–$65,000Overview The Staff Accountant supports day-to-day accounting operations and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and reporting. This role is well-suited for candidates with a solid accounting foundation who enjoy working with debits and credits, reconciling accounts, analyzing budgets, and partnering with others across the organization. Prior experience with grant or nonprofit accounting is helpful, but not required.Key Responsibilities Record and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy of debits and creditsPerform month-end close activities, including bank reconciliations and account analysisTrack fixed assets, including additions, retirements, and capitalizationPrepare and analyze budgets vs. actuals and investigate variancesSupport financial reporting in accordance with GAAPAssist with audits and year-end financial reportingMaintain accurate records for various funding sources, including grants when applicablePrepare internal financial reports for leadershipCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure expenses are properly coded and supportedQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred2+ years of hands-on accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principlesExperience working with budgets, fixed assets, and account reconciliationsAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)Experience with QuickBooks Online is a strong plusGrant or nonprofit accounting experience is a plus, but not required#INMAY2026#LI-LC1#LI-HybridEB-1719444027#J-18808-Ljbffr
