HumanHire is partnered with a large business services firm in search of a Staff Accountant for their office in Garden City, NY.
The Staff Accountant will support the month-end and year-end close process, including account reconciliations and consolidation activities. This individual will prepare and review financial statements, analyze account activity and variances, and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
We Offer:
Salary: $70,000-85,000 per year
Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30AM- 5:30PM

Staff Accountant Responsibilities
Support the month-end and year-end close process, including account reconciliations and preparation of financial statements.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, research discrepancies, and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
Review financial results and account activity, identifying variances and providing supporting analysis to management.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and annual audit activities as needed.
Help improve accounting processes and procedures while collaborating with team members to maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function.
Staff Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field (required)
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial accounting principles
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
