Job Details
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger records and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely and reliable financial reporting.
- Assist with corporate tax calculations, return preparation, supporting documentation, and compliance deadlines.
- Research tax and accounting questions, identify discrepancies, and help implement practical solutions.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve outstanding items.
- Prepare financial reports and analyses that support business decisions and explain key account movements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors or auditors to fulfill information requests.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation that support audit readiness and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, enhance data accuracy, and streamline recurring tasks.
- Stay informed about relevant accounting standards and corporate tax requirements.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with Corporate Taxes or equivalent corporate tax accounting and compliance responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures.
- Understanding of applicable accounting principles and corporate tax compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and handle confidential financial information responsibly.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners.
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus, but not required.
