Accounting Specialist

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger records

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Prepare and manage payment runs, including checks, ACH transactions, and wire transfers

• Analyze financial data and research discrepancies to ensure accuracy

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation

• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and prepaid expense schedules

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

• Organize and maintain financial documentation in accordance with record retention standards

• Support internal and external audit requests by providing required documentation

• Assist with payroll accounting and related account reconciliations

• Help improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

• Respond to accounting-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders


What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required

• One to three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience

• Strong understanding of accounting procedures and general ledger processes

• Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and transaction processing

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering exceptional internal and external service

• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development

• Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and industry standards is a plus
