Skillset / Experience

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Sr Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and work directly with the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong QuickBooks and Excel skills, and a solid understanding of GAAP.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain business transactions in QuickBooks.
• Assist with balancing and reconciling general ledger accounts.
• Perform AP, AR, and GL activities.
• Complete bank reconciliations and daily cash reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing year-end reports and documentation for audits.
• Handle statement billing.
• Prepare schedules and analyze trends for costs, revenues, and financial commitments.
• Perform variance analysis on monthly financial reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly bank deposits.
• Manage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and amortization.
• Process expense accruals and prepaid amortization.
• Review and process expense reimbursements.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Team-oriented and results-driven.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
