Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile monthly gas, NGL, and oil revenues for operated and non-operated properties.
Prepare journal entries along with supporting documentation for month-end close.
Prepare account reconciliations, research reconciling items, and provide detailed explanations.
Analyze revenue variances related to volumes, pricing, or ownership changes.
Respond to owner, purchaser and internal inquiries regarding revenue bookings and payments.
Prepare and file state reports to the appropriate agencies while ensuring accurate and timely submission of escheatment filings.
Maintain monthly DOI transfers and pay code changes.
Support the daily management of the Revenue Accounting inbox and ensure inquiries are resolved timely.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
5 or more years of oil and gas revenue accounting experience and proficient working knowledge of Excalibur. Ad hoc query writing capabilities is a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, lookups, and data analysis.
Strong understanding of revenue distribution, account reconciliations, and owner relations.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Participate in process improvement initiatives that will enhance efficiency and controls.
Education:
4-year undergraduate degree with 5 years or more of oil and gas revenue accounting, or high school diploma/GED with 7-8 years of oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent experience.
