Staff Accountant

OurIssaquah locationis in search of aStaff Accountant. This position supports accurate and timely accounting operations by preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, maintaining fixed asset records, assisting with tax, and licensing compliance, and providing accounting support during audits and peak reporting periods. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound accounting judgment, and the ability to coordinate with internal departments to gather documentation and resolve discrepancies. To learn more about our company, please visit our website atwww.lakesideindustries.com ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Review divisional fuel accounting transactions and reconcile fuel-related accounts to the general ledger.Prepare recurring, routine, and adjusting journal entries in accordance with company procedures.Prepare simple inventory summaries and reconciliations, identifying and researching variances as needed.Prepare or support assigned account reconciliations, including imprest bank reconciliations and employee receivable reconciliations.Maintain clear support documentation for journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting activity.Support fixed asset accounting, including asset additions, disposals, depreciation posting, and maintenance of asset records.Partner with the equipment department to maintain accurate fixed asset records in the accounting system.Assist in reviewing asset documentation for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate accounting treatment.Assist in the annual internal audit of company equipment in preparation for personal property tax affidavit filings.Prepare and file personal property tax affidavits and maintain supporting documentation.Track, review, and process personal property tax invoices for payment.Support Washington B&O tax returns and city B&O tax filings by gathering documentation and completing required paperwork.Pull quarterly invoices and supporting documentation for tax returns prepared by management.Prepare monthly Oregon mileage reports using division-submitted reporting.Update reseller permits and assists with related documentation.Coordinate annual city license renewals, city master license renewals, weighmaster license renewals, and annual report filings.Assist with association dues and related quarterly or annual compliance items.
