Our client, an industry leader headquartered in Kansas City, is searching for a Staff Accountant to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a Degreed Accountant with a couple years of experience who is looking for more challenge and growth opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various account reconciliations
• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
• Assist in the month-end close process
• Provide backup support for AR and AP
• Manage accounting communications
• Assist with financial statement audits and work directly with external auditors
• Interact with CFO, Accounting Supervisor, and other Accounting Staff on a daily basis
• Work on special projects
• Other accounting related duties as needed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of professional work experience
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Strong work ethic, and emphasis on attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
