Description

Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their client's team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of office, administration, and accounting functions, contributing significantly to the company's efficiency and effectiveness. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and coordinating with other departments as needed. SAGE Software Experience a Must!

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting, general ledger structure, and accounting principles.
  • Possess knowledge of Accounts Payable/Receivable and Payroll Processing.
  • Ensure a smooth, accurate, and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions at the bank.
  • Complete monthly bank account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete W-2, 1095, and 1099 reporting.
  • File quarterly state and Federal Payroll Tax Returns.
  • Manage 401(k) and Profit Sharing Plan.
  • Manage the commercial insurance package renewal.
  • Process renewal of fleet license plates with the DMV and maintain required document folders for the fleet.
  • Assist in external audits and DOL Surveys.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Manage the Accounting AP & PR office staff.
  • Collaborate with other department managers.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise 0-6 employees regularly.
  • Handle performance, discipline, and termination of employees following company policy in collaboration with the human resources department.

Work Hours: Monday through Friday

Benefits

This position offers a minimum pay of $75,000 annually. As a supervisory role, it provides an opportunity to lead and develop a team within the accounting department.
