Join in on the excitement and become part of our thriving organization!We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support for our office in Lexington, KY!Duties & Responsibilities:DailyGenerate and review daily cash and activity reports from the policy system, credit card and ACH processors, and the bankApply premium payments received by mail and reconcile deposit totals to payments appliedPrepare bank deposits and deliver them to the bankPrepare and post daily cash journal entriesPrimary point of contact with the bank and internal departments for check verification, missing endorsements or signatures, and stop paymentsProcess ACH returns, update the affected policies, and notify customer servicePrint premium refund checks and maintain the check registerDistribute mail received in the company P.O. boxesRoute vendor invoices to department heads for approvalPrepare month-end claims reports and post month-end journal entriesVerify and post inter-company journal entriesAssist with other projects as neededSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Minimum two years accounting experienceStrong organizational and communication skillsStrong time management skillsProficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting systems (Sage)Experience with cash applications, ACH, and bank reconciliationsPolicy and claim administration system experience (Sapiens Stingray a plus)QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in AccountingInsurance industry experience preferredOn-Site Position in Lexington, KYWarrior Insurance Network provides a competitive benefits package to all full- time employees.
